Louisville Zoo

The day before the Ironman, Wesley, Grandma, and I went to the Louisville Zoo.  It was pretty hot out, but it was a lot of fun.

Riding the rhino statue at the front of the zoo

Checking out the mister to cool off

"Eeeek!"

Loving the sprinkler

Up close and personal with a gorilla

Watching the elephants (which neither the Philadelphia nor the Madison zoo have)

Another cooperative animal coming over to say hello

Wesley wanted to use the camera to take some pictures of the polar bear swimming.  Here is one of his best ones.

Another one where he was trying to get the way the water looked from underneath.  He also liked the stick floating in the middle near the top.

Watching the seals swim

The zoo had a splash park which Wesley loved.
Going down the slide.

Wesley LOVED this thing.  The pump would make water shoot out one of four sides or out the top.  He thought this was the best thing ever.

Waiting for the seal show to start with Grandma

Riding the zoo tram back to the parking lot

That looks like a really fun zoo! And Wesley must be at a good age to appreciate a lot of it.

It does not look nearly as hot when you see the pictures! I liked the gorilla and Wesley picture best. You can't see the glass.
