2 year photos

We went outside this morning and tried to capture a "perfect" shot to get printed and framed as Wesley's two year picture. We thought we'd try ourselves before going to a professional. We like how a bunch of these turned out. Some are just stuck in there because they're funny. Others are definitely worth printing. Any favorites?

My favorite so far.

I like how this one catches his personality, but it's maybe a little silly to hang on the wall.

Making monkey faces back at Mommy. Instead of smiling like she hoped.

Another favorite one of mine.

New big boy bed

We got Wesley a new big boy bed in preparation for his sister to take the crib when she arrives. He won't sleep on it yet, but it's become a fun place to play. I wanted to share some pictures of him on it, but he wouldn't get up there while I had the camera unless Morgan came too.

Another visit from the grandparents

Grandpa and Grandma Cowles visited recently, and these are some pictures from when they were here.

Eating pretzels one afternoon at snack time.

Playing in doggie's crate after a sweaty playtime outside (hence the lack of a shirt).

Making pizza dough with Mommy.

At the playground.

Getting the dirt out of his shoes. Wesley gets obsessed with keeping the dirt out of his shoes when we're at the playground. We really can't let him where sandals there anymore or we spend half the time taking his shoes on and off.

Riding a tractor at Terhune Orchard (like Curtis Orchard for those of your familiar with it).

Feeding the goats. I'm pretty sure this one is stuck in the fence. Check out his horns.

Enamored with the newly sheared sheep. He stood there for a long time just starting at them even though they weren't doing anything very interesting.

Playing tug of war with doggie's bed.

Off to school.

Quote of the day

While sitting in the bath last night, Wesley started counting. He can usually get to 5 without any trouble, but has a certain pattern of numbers that he really likes. I'm not sure what he was counting, but last night's version was particularly funny because it ended with a description of his toes. I thought you'd enjoy his quote:

"1, 2, 4, 7, 9, wiggle, wiggle" (said in a sing-songy voice while playing with his bare toes)

May pictures

Styling in his new sunglasses which he'll wear for about 30 seconds before taking them back off.

Getting ready to go outside and ride his bike.

Checking out some ants on the sidewalk.

Smelling the neighbors' flowers. And no, he didn't end up picking them.

Watching the big girls on the swings at the playground.

Looking at lions with Grandma Pataky at the zoo.

Riding the carousel at the Philly zoo.

Feeding the ducks at the children's zoo.

Trying out his new baseball tee. Thanks Grandma!!

Time to get the balls.

Playing a combination of baseball, golf, and soccer with the balls. He loved kicking and putting the balls around the grass as much as he liked hitting them off the tee.

Hitting tips from Grandma.

Listening carefully.

Home run!
