Maine - Day 2 PM

After Wesley's nap, we all drove up Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park (just 2 miles down from Emery's Cottages). This is the view from the top of the mountain down to Bar Harbor. Beautiful!

Dad and Morgan enjoying the view.

Dad, Grandma, and Morgan still enjoying the view.

As we were getting ready to drive down from the mountain top, a group of people unfurled a banner right in front of our car. We could read it through the paper and it said "Will you marry me?" The man who was proposing was down the path a ways with his (hopefully) fiance and his family was at the top in the parking lot with the banner. We could hear them trying to figure out her response. One of them said "Oh! A kiss, that must be good" and then they all started clapping and cheering. It was fun to watch. And, it turns out that a friend of Cowles' family was also proposed to on the same mountain. Maybe the view inspires people?
