Summer is here!

We've discovered that Wesley LOVES watermelon, especially when we let him eat it right off the rind.

Juice and pulp usually end up going everywhere.

Of course, sometimes he also tries to EAT the rind. Oops!

Either way, it's very fun.

"Baby!"

One of Wesley's new words is "Baby". It's amazingly cute to watch him call other babies (sometimes those that are older than him) Baby. Here, he's looking at himself in the video monitor.

Wesley is walking

A few weeks ago, Wesley started letting go of furniture and walking around. Now, he only rarely crawls and loves walking back and forth across the house.

Giggle puss

On the way home from the zoo, I kept making Wesley go into a fit of giggles. I couldn't resist getting a few pictures of him laughing away.

Mom is SO silly!

This one is my new desktop picture.

Another trip to the Zoo

To celebrate our 5th anniversary, we took Wesley back to the Philadelphia zoo. The weather was perfect. There weren't too many people for most of the time, and we had a great time.

Dad and Wesley checking out the cows in the children's zoo.

A pair of hornbills were doing this back and forth cat-calling to each other. We thought it was a recording at first because it was repeated the same way over and over and over again. Then we realized the two birds were each doing part of the noise. One bird was carrying around a stuffed animal to make the whole situation even that much more strange.

Another shot at the children's zoo with the cows. Wesley kept mooing at them (although he first made a gobble gobble noise because we had just been looking at the turkeys)

Reaching to pet the goats. Wesley discovered his love for goats in his recent trip to IL and immediately starting screaming "Ba!" (his current word for goats) when he saw them today. He LOVES the goats. I think they even beat out the monkeys on this trip.

Watching other kids feed the goats. The big white one was hungry!
